I'm very interested by this option as this company has been around a long time. Seems a popular generic scanner option now is to use a BlueTooth or Wifi ELM device to plug into the OBD port, then connect to it with a variety of apps that are available on multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Windows Phone). So I've been looking at other "wireless" options. Doing so with a cable draped across my lap to a laptop sliding off my center console isn't the safest thing I can think of. I only have a work laptop and while I probably would have no issues using it, my company probably wouldn't be happy about it.
