There are people SO incompetent that I just have to kick them, since a lvl 40 shouldn't be in a DW game anyway. That's how they keep the community together and not split up.ĥ) In the end, the kick feature is abused, but so what? Should we just get rid of the kick feature entirely? Hell no. That's literally the premise of their heist DLCs. You can play it with other people who have the DLC. Yeah, he has the skills of the lvl 100, but they are skills, which can be used by ANY player.Ĥ) I saw someone saying that they were "checking out the map, before they were going to buy it". Being XXV-100 won't make you more accurate, stronger or faster. (I know there's a chance you believe so too, but it's just a good thing to write in case someone who doesn't believe that reads this)ģ) This doesn't harm you, it doesn't make the game easier either, since they still have to be good at it. They're literally adding new stuff in the game, so for all I and everyone else is concerned, we got the game already. I don't condone the DLC system that OK has, since it's too expensive for too little, but that doesn't excuse anything. They are using weapons from those DLCs, also they most likely cheated the mods on them as well, so they never unlocked them. It's kind of ignorant to just pretend that people who use DLC unlockers aren't cheating. 1) The kick feature is horribly abused, I agreeĢ) There is an anti-cheating feature and that's the auto-kick. Salo is long and hard to watch because of the slow pacing. While i agree with you that Salo and A Serbian Film are some of the worst, I don't think they are much more disturbing than Cannibal Holocaust. I should note I haven't seen A Serbian Film, or The Human Centipede II so there might be films out there that are more disturbing that this but I doubt it. If you really want to watch it, go ahead but I doubt you'll cherish that experience. I really think this film should only be watched for someone who has an intense interest in film history because other than it's censorship boundary significance and artistic merit, this film has no entertainment in it, it's not going to want you to come back to it. If you're your average viewer, or maybe just starting to get interest in film no. I don't know how Pasolini did this, the fact that this film exists is an achievement but the bigger achievement is convincing these actors of performing such scenes.Īnyway, whether you should watch it depends purely on who you are. For all it's scenes of coprophagia, rape and torture the actors are unflinching in their portrayal of the characters. What makes this film more provoking is the acting. I can honestly say that this film pushes boundaries I didn't even know existed in cinema. I guess it is a piece of provocative art but watching it is a chore. In fact no film I've seen comes close to this. Funny Games was supposedly made as a test against the audience. In DVD I watched it on there was a short essay from Pasolini explaining many of the aspects this film has to show. Firstly, it should be pointed out that Saló is an allegory about Italian Fascism. It's after Italian Neorealism but it's in the similar vein but accentuated. The only Pasolini film I'd seen before that was Accatone which I thought was brilliant but very grim. Well I've seen Salo and all I can say is it's an experience. Tl dr - I think you'll be OK with those two films, they aren't La Fin Absolue du Monde As far as the more 'extreme' content, much of it is far worse by implication, sort of like how in the earlier "Saw" movies you would generally see everything except the terminal moment, and had far more tension built up by agonizingly leading up to things that the audience and the victims both know are coming. While it is quite masterfully filmed, it certainly feels more like an older film and its pace may be too meandering for modern audiences. Certainly when in context with film at the time it was made etc, it was quite a slap in the face. 'Salo' can be watched more as a filmmaking curio if you'd rather detatch from the subject matter slightly. The subject matter is definitely grim, however I found other films like 'Wolf Creek' and 'Grotesque' to be far more difficult to watch than 'A Serbian Film'. 'A Serbian Film' while certainly quite extreme is also very aware of itself in a similar way to how the first 'Human Centipede' felt, in that the antagonists are so over-the-top they occasionally approach Tommy Wiseau territory. I think if you are fine with Cannibal Holocaust and Matyrs, then the other two films you mention won't be too much of a step up. I'm currently debating watching A Serbian Film, so perhaps more important: is that movie more fucked up than the rest? Does anybody have an opinion on shock cinema? Is it worth the damage to your "soul" to maybe experience a disturbing film that makes you think about life and death? Is it normal to have films that you consider "too far?" Or should there not be a limit? Depravity exists in real life, so shouldn't it be addressed in art? To me, they are perhaps on the pedestal of the worst of the worst. But I've actually been scared to watch A Serbian Film, and Salo: 120 Days of Sodom. I've watched a good amount of the movies that are frequently on the "most disturbing" lists. The viewer is forced to consider morality, ethics, death, and the rest of the existential gamut when they watch something like Cannibal Halocaust or Martyrs. To me, they force the viewer to withdraw into their own headspace much more than less violent or fucked up films. I tend to respond more to "disturbing" movies. HOMER Energy’s software has been used by more than 150,000 people in 193 countries in the 25 years it has been in existence. “What doesn’t work well is for someone to have a really concrete idea of what the system should look like early in the development process because they are probably wrong.” “I think there is real value in playing around with ideas,” he said. The first phase is when all that exists is an idea. Lilienthal describes the microgrid design process as having three phases. Lilienthal added, “big utilities will tell you they are doing great at 20-30 percent but on a microgrid you can do 80 percent easily.” Start from Scratch “If you want to have renewables at a high penetration, it’s just easier to do that on a microgrid,” said Peter Lilienthal, CEO and founder of Boulder, Colorado-based HOMER Energy, maker of microgrid modeling software. In addition to the resiliency aspect of microgrids, they also carry with them the benefit of allowing for greater integration of renewable energy. Once the microgrid is functional, crews can work to restore power to the greater grid. This way, if the greater grid experiences an outage, grid operators can first restore power to the microgrid, bringing critical power to people when they need it. Because they are attached to the larger grid, but have the ability to function as a small grid, microgrids can be put in place around critical infrastructure like hospitals, schools, police stations, and shelters in any given village, city or town across the world. If the energy industry learned anything in 2017, it was that energy systems are highly vulnerable to damage from hurricanes, wild fires and other natural disasters and work should be done to make the world’s electric grids much more resilient.Įnter the microgrid, a concept that has been around for decades but is only now beginning to be recognized for the full benefits that it can offer. With JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean now debuting on Netflix, we're taking a look at the most bizarre JoJo Stands to have appeared in the anime. But this is also a "Bizarre" adventure, so what about all the weird Stands in between? Star Platinum, Crazy Diamond, Gold Experience, Killer Queen, King Crimson, and more are all mightily impressive. Many of the coolest Stands - taking their names first from the cards of Tarot, and then from the names of bands and musicians that Araki favours - of course belong to the protagonists and primary antagonists of JoJo. Projected as a form that stands separately to the user - hence the name "Stand" - these powers became a key part of the series. After Part 1: Phantom Blood and Part 2: Battle Tendency played around with the magic breathing of "hamon," mangaka Hirohiko Araki introduced a new, strange and exciting power of "spiritual energy" in Part 3: Stardust Crusaders. The power of the Stand has become an iconic part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Having the accommodation of booting up my PC and having the option to play this game anyplace is a colossal in addition to as well. As somebody who gets handily exhausted with computer games these days, I actually haven’t quit playing it. It has a great deal of heart for a little estimated game. Generally speaking, I would enthusiastically prescribe Diner Dash to anybody that needs to kill some time and appreciates playing level-based games. In the event that I needed to decide, I’d prefer play this game than anything on the portable game market at the present time. It has the very style and profundity that numerous portable games have. I believe it’s like games like Farmville and Clash of Clans. While the Diner Dash game establishment traces all the way back to 2004, I would contrast this game with a considerable lot of the advanced well known versatile computer games. When you begin playing routinely, it rapidly turns into a regular fixation to play. Diner Dash 1.13.1.apk THIS UPDATE WILL NOT RUN ON ANDROID OS7 DEVICES theres something heroic superhuman, even about a waitress who darts from. While the designs are nothing unique, the shortsighted game mechanics are what consistently takes me back to the game. Both are incredibly irresistible and amusing to play. On the off chance that you are up for a test, I would suggest playing that game mode, however on the off chance that you are searching for a charming, laid back style of the game, the story mode is for you. Perpetual Shift mode can get rushed and overpowering on occasion. The other mode is classified “Unending Shift,” which is an endurance based game that makes them play until you lose. There are two principle modes in Diner Dash: Flo’s vocation, which is a customary story-based mission mode that you would see in many games. You must ensure you are overseeing time well inside the game and keeping in control inside the eatery, which can be interesting now and again. The game places you in the part of a café proprietor named Flo, whose primary objective is to offer the best support to her clients. While Diner Dash may appear to be straightforward, it’s not difficult to get sucked into the game. I end up going through hours advancing through various stages in the game. In addition to the fact that it is easy to learn and see, but on the other hand it’s irresistible and charming.

Would you mind helping me check this ScanTool XL out? What features of AE would you consider indispensable for a PowerStroke user?ĭoes AE work with hybrid vehicles? My wife has a Mercury Mariner hybrid. What other advantages might AE have that I'd miss out on by going with ScanTool? I'm looking to you long time AE users here. I don't know what that is and whether or not it is something I'd be sorry I don't have if this ScanTool doesn't do it. What is this ScanTool XL software missing? I've seen mention of a "buzz test" in this forum. But saving $70 AND getting wireless capability is certainly tempting.īefore I pull the trigger on anything, I'm wondering: $70 is close enough where I'd opt to pay the extra $$ to get the best option if AE ends up being a better option. AND I'd get the ability to log while driving on my tablet and/or phone via Wifi or bluetooth, in addition to still being able to use a laptop just like AE. Where as the AE stuff is running $370 with the Ford bundle. But I did some spot checking and this Scan XL one seems to have a lot, if not all of the same ones as AE.Īdding all the stuff together, including the Enhanced Ford package, I'd be looking at $300. Now, I haven't compared the entire sensor read chart from the AE Ford package to this Scan XL Ford package. LLC - ScanXL Ford Enhanced Diagnostics Add-on - OBD Software. What intrigues me about this is that they sell the software that works on a laptop/PC just like AE: LLC - ScanXL Standard - OBD Software - Īnd just like AE you can buy the Enhanced Ford Add-on that has all the extra sensor reads: They have bluetooth versions already, but a Wifi version looks like its coming out in November that I could use with both my Android tablet AND my Windows phone for the interface: LLC - OBDLink MX Wi-Fi Scan Tool | OBD Adapter. I'm very interested by this option as this company has been around a long time. Seems a popular generic scanner option now is to use a BlueTooth or Wifi ELM device to plug into the OBD port, then connect to it with a variety of apps that are available on multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Windows Phone). So I've been looking at other "wireless" options. Doing so with a cable draped across my lap to a laptop sliding off my center console isn't the safest thing I can think of. I'd like to be able to log information while driving. Second, it requires a hard line connection. I only have a work laptop and while I probably would have no issues using it, my company probably wouldn't be happy about it. It's apparent that the AE scanner is the most popular choice at TheDieselStop but I have two issues with it. I've been doing research on scanning tools. |
